SPECIAL SCHOOLS IN THE MID-WEST

www.cmcauley.ie Catherine McAuley School in Limerick City caters for pupils with learning difficulties in the Mild Range of Learning Disability.  It has a mixed enrolment of 160 students between 8 and 18.  The school provides the full primary curriculum as well as selected secondary courses including the Junior Certificate Schools Programme, the Junior Certificate, the Leaving Cert Applied and FETAC Levels III and IV.

St. Clare's School St. Clare's School in Ennis is a primary and secondary school that provides programmes designed to cater for students aged 4 to 18 with disabilities ranging from Moderate general learning disabilities to Severe/Profound general learning disabilities and Autistic Spectrum Disorders (ASD).
Mid-West School for Hearing Impaired Children  The Mid-West School for Hearing Impaired Children is based in Rosbrien, Limerick - its new buidling was opened in 1998. "The school currently caters for primary and post-primary Hearing Impaired pupils in the Mid-West region.  Pupils are taught through sign language or orally, where appropriate."
